South Korea's Double-Long SK Hynix (07709) rose more than 13%. At the time of writing, the stock was up 13.39% to HK$104.3, with a turnover of HK$5.423 billion.

On the news front, May 13, according to market media citing sources, SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-jung is set to meet with Microsoft (MSFT.US) co-founder Bill Gates and CEO Satya Nadella in the United States. Kwak will attend the "Microsoft CEO Summit 2026" at Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, Washington. Additionally, sources stated that Kwak will also attend a private dinner arranged at Bill Gates' residence. These events are expected to further deepen the strategic partnership between Microsoft and SK Hynix, particularly regarding HBM supply.

It is reported that Microsoft is a significant customer for SK Hynix's DRAM and NAND flash products. SK Hynix's fifth-generation HBM3E chips are also currently used in Microsoft's latest AI accelerator chip, Maia 200.
