Musk Slams Bezos' Ex-Wife and Jobs' Widow in Response to Atlantic Article

Deep News08:02

Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk responded to an article by The Atlantic on social platform X, which labeled him a "scientific racist." He targeted Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, who funds the publication, while also criticizing the philanthropic donations of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott.

An X user shared The Atlantic's November article titled "Why Elon Musk Needs Dungeons & Dragons to Be a Racist—The Imaginary Roots of 'Scientific Racism.'" Musk replied, "The Atlantic is a fake publication that survives only because Laurene Powell Jobs uses her late husband’s money to do things he would despise." He added, "This again highlights that 'woke' white women are the doom of Western civilization."

One user commented, "Billionaires' left-wing wives are among the greatest threats to Western civilization. They are mentally unstable and have all the money in the world to create chaos." Musk agreed, stating, "Yes! MacKenzie Bezos (or whatever she calls herself now) is another example. She despises her ex and wants anyone like him dead."

Musk's post included a link to a 2024 article detailing how Bezos' ex-wife directed much of her charitable giving to "far-left organizations aiding immigrant criminals and transgender athletes."

This isn’t the first time Musk has criticized Scott’s philanthropy. In March 2024, he blasted her on X after reports revealed that $16.5 billion of her post-divorce donations went to nonprofits addressing racial and gender issues. Musk remarked, "'Super-rich ex-wives who hate their ex-husbands' should be listed among 'reasons for the decline of Western civilization.'" In October, he called Scott "the face you see before Western civilization collapses."
