HKT appoints PwC veteran Ng Wai Lun as Independent Non-Executive Director, joins key audit and compliance committees

Hong Kong, 1 April 2026 — HKT Management Limited (trustee-manager of HKT Trust) and HKT Limited announced the appointment of Mr Ng Wai Lun as Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) to both boards, effective 1 April 2026. Ng will also serve on the Audit Committees of the trustee-manager and the Company, and on the Remuneration and Regulatory Compliance Committees of the Company Board.

Ng, aged 64, has been an INED of HKT Payment Limited since October 2025. He spent more than 20 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, holding senior leadership positions that included Assurance Leader for Hong Kong, South China and Macau, and Transportation & Logistics Sector Leader for China and Hong Kong. He has advised numerous enterprises on listings across Hong Kong and overseas exchanges.

Beyond his audit background, Ng is active in the maritime sector. He has served as a Trustee of the Hong Kong Maritime Museum Trust since 2013 and currently chairs the museum’s Audit and Risk Committee. Professional affiliations include fellowship of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Curtin University.

The appointment runs for a three-year term, subject to retirement by rotation and re-election under HKT’s governing documents. Ng will receive an annual fee of HK$0.26 million for his INED role at HKT Limited and HK$0.13 million for the same role at HKT Payment Limited; no additional remuneration is attached to his trustee-manager directorship.

Ng has confirmed full independence under Rule 3.13 of the Hong Kong Listing Rules, holds no share stapled units or other securities in HKT, and has no ties with directors, senior management or substantial unitholders.

The boards welcomed Ng’s appointment, noting the enhanced governance expertise he brings to HKT’s audit, remuneration and compliance oversight.
