An art exhibition titled "Art Nurtures Young Hearts, Building Dreams for the Future" has officially opened at the Guizhou Art Museum, running until September 13th. This 2026 initiative is part of the Guizhou Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles' "Dandelion" Children's Art Growth Program, organized in collaboration with the Guizhou Academy of Fine Arts and Sculpture, the Guizhou Artists Association, the Guizhou Calligraphers Association, the Guizhou Painting Academy (Guizhou Art Museum), and the Federation's village-based work teams.
The exhibition features 84 works created by children from the Sanbao Street resettlement site in Qinglong County, encompassing calligraphy, fine arts, and batik techniques. Sanbao Street holds the distinction of being China's only resettlement site for an entire ethnic minority township, where families have transitioned from mountain dwellings to new urban homes. For these children, art has become a powerful bridge to express their inner emotions and embrace their transformed lives.
Although the pieces carry a charming youthful simplicity, they resonate with genuine feeling and boundless imagination. They serve not only as milestones of the children's personal growth but also as vivid examples of the Federation's rural art education model, reflecting the profound changes reshaping mountain communities in the new era.
The exhibition is located in Halls 1 and 3 of the Guizhou Art Museum and is free to the public. Visiting hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with last entry at 4:30 PM. The museum is closed on Mondays, except for statutory holidays. Visitors are asked to present a valid ID card for entry.
Featured works are by young artists including He Yan (age 9), Bai Zihan (age 8), Luo Fuhan (age 15), Liu Haohao (age 13), Yu Rongyue (age 10), Pang Wanqing (age 8), and Liu Wenxi (age 8), alongside batik creations from the non-heritage public welfare class students.
