CTG DUTY-FREE (01880) has published its fifth Environmental, Social and Governance Report, detailing 2025 performance and targets across governance, environmental and social pillars.
Double-Tier ESG Governance • A Strategy & Sustainability Committee under the board steers ESG matters, while an executive leadership group coordinates implementation across departments and subsidiaries. • The company received multiple honours, including New Fortune’s “Best ESG Information Disclosure Award” and Wind’s “Top 100 Best ESG Practices”.
Market & Operations • Duty-free services reached almost 200 million domestic and international travellers, offering 537,000 SKUs from 1,674 brands. • CDF membership climbed to 53 million; registered user records on the One ID platform passed 140 million. • Network now spans more than 200 duty-free outlets, including the world’s two largest stores in Haikou and Sanya.
Environmental Performance • Total Scope 1 & 2 greenhouse-gas emissions were 27,530 tCO2e, equal to 0.04 tCO2e per m². • Energy intensity fell to 0.0156 tce/m², aided by rooftop and car-shed photovoltaic installations at Haikou International Duty-Free Complex. • Four projects hold 2-star Green Building labels; 34 stores or counters now boast LEED certification (one Platinum, 31 Gold, two Silver). • Over the past four years 77.37 million eco-compliant shopping bags have replaced traditional plastic alternatives.
Social Indicators • Headcount totalled 14,485, with women representing 59.84 % of staff and 25 % of board members. • Training coverage reached 100 %, averaging 55 training hours per employee; 1,385 safety sessions covered 75,400 attendances. • Operational safety investment amounted to CNY37.14 million, and no work-related fatalities were recorded. • The company channelled CNY16.88 million into 16 rural-revitalisation projects, leveraging a further CNY10.05 million in external funds.
Supply-Chain & Product Stewardship • Supplier roster totals 1,642 non-brand partners and 760 brand partners; green and recyclable packaging is mandated across the chain. • Empty-bottle take-back with L’OCCITANE and other brands, plus tape-free cartons and biodegradable shopping bags, underpin waste-reduction efforts.
Forward Targets CTG DUTY-FREE aims to maintain zero major environmental violations, extend renewable-energy adoption, deepen employee development, and keep full safety-training coverage while rolling out further green-building projects and carbon-mitigation measures.
