Agricultural Product Wholesale Price Index Declines 0.20 Points on March 31

According to monitoring data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "Agricultural Product Wholesale Price 200 Index" registered 119.53 on March 31, a decrease of 0.20 points from the previous day. The "Basket of Food" wholesale price index stood at 120.70, down 0.22 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the national average wholesale price for pork was 15.31 yuan per kilogram, a 1.0% drop from yesterday. Beef remained stable at 66.39 yuan per kilogram, while lamb increased by 0.2% to 64.30 yuan per kilogram. The price of eggs fell 0.8% to 7.80 yuan per kilogram, and dressed chicken declined 1.5% to 17.22 yuan per kilogram.

The average price for 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.68 yuan per kilogram, down 0.6% from the previous day. The average price for six key fruits was 7.70 yuan per kilogram, decreasing by 1.4%. Crucian carp prices dropped 0.5% to 19.77 yuan per kilogram, while common carp fell 2.2% to 14.25 yuan per kilogram. Silver carp rose 0.7% to 10.61 yuan per kilogram, and large hairtail declined 0.1% to 41.98 yuan per kilogram.

Among the 46 key monitored categories in domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, the top five gainers compared to yesterday were lettuce, celery, cauliflower, white radish, and zucchini, with increases of 3.7%, 1.9%, 1.9%, 1.3%, and 0.9% respectively. The top five decliners were pineapple, banana, oyster mushroom, common carp, and ginger, with decreases of 3.7%, 2.5%, 2.4%, 2.2%, and 2.2% respectively.
