China Unicom App to Shift to Fixed-Denomination Points Deduction Model

Deep News11-17

To express gratitude for user feedback, the following announcement is issued. On November 17, 2025, China Unicom App released a service notice stating that, to further optimize the points usage experience and enhance their value, the rules for points deduction in bill payment scenarios within the App will be upgraded. The adjustment will take effect from 00:00:00 on November 26, 2025. The specific changes are as follows:

On the "Pay Bill" function page, the original "Full Points Deduction" mode will be replaced with a "Fixed-Denomination Deduction" mode.

1. Eligibility Users must have a network tenure of at least 6 months to use communication points for bill payment deductions.

2. Deduction Rules - Fixed-denomination deduction will only support the following four options: - Deduct 1 yuan from the bill, requiring 100 communication points. - Deduct 3 yuan from the bill, requiring 300 communication points. - Deduct 5 yuan from the bill, requiring 500 communication points. - Deduct 10 yuan from the bill, requiring 1000 communication points.

- Usage Conditions Users must have a minimum of 100 communication points to participate in deductions. The selected deduction amount must meet two conditions: (1) It cannot exceed the total bill payment amount for the current transaction. (2) It cannot exceed the total available communication points in the account.

- Monthly Limit Each user can accumulate a maximum of 1000 communication points per month for bill payment deductions, equivalent to a maximum deduction of 10 yuan.

3. Points Freezing and Unfreezing - If a user's number is in an abnormal state (e.g., scheduled cancellation or suspension due to unpaid bills), points will be frozen and unusable. Points will become available again once the user cancels the cancellation request or pays the outstanding balance to restore the number to normal status. - If a user has merged points accounts and any merged account enters an abnormal state (e.g., suspension or scheduled cancellation), points across all merged accounts will be unusable. - For blacklisted customers, points usage rights will only be restored once the number status returns to normal. - Points used for unpaid orders will be temporarily locked. If the order is canceled, the locked points will be unfrozen and restored within 48 hours.

Reminder: After this rule adjustment, users can click "View Details" or "Visit Points Mall for More Rewards" on the points deduction interface to check points details and explore additional redeemable items, maximizing the value of their points.
