Shares of Horace Mann Educators Corporation (HMN) soared 5.62% on Monday morning, after the insurance company reported better-than-expected third quarter earnings and reaffirmed its full-year guidance.
For the quarter ended September 30th, Horace Mann posted core earnings of $0.76 per diluted share, up from $0.44 a year earlier and exceeding analysts' consensus estimate of $0.75. Revenue grew 8.8% year-over-year to $412.1 million, also beating Wall Street's expectations of $411.5 million.
Buoyed by the strong Q3 results, the company reiterated its full-year 2024 core earnings per share guidance range of $2.40 to $2.70. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ are projecting Horace Mann to report $2.60 in core EPS for the year.
