CleanSpark, Inc.'s stock surged 5.11% during intraday trading on Wednesday, following the company's announcement of a key executive appointment.
The company appointed Ruben Sahakyan as its new Senior Vice President of Finance. Sahakyan brings over 15 years of financial services experience, most recently from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, where he served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Digital Assets & Infrastructure Investment Banking. He has advised on more than $20 billion in transactions across the digital assets, infrastructure, and fintech sectors.
CleanSpark stated that Sahakyan will lead the company's Capital Markets and Financial Planning & Analysis functions and support firm-wide mergers and acquisitions. The appointment is seen as strengthening the leadership team to execute CleanSpark's strategy of transforming into a multi-gigawatt AI and digital infrastructure platform.
