Apple's first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, has quickly gained traction after launch, with media reports saying domestic first-sale volume reached nearly 200,000 units in four days.
As one of the first apps to support the iPhone Duo, Dewu App completed adaptation on the day of the device's launch event, optimizing product browsing and detail viewing so users can enjoy a more intuitive shopping experience on the new device.
According to the company, when the iPhone Duo is unfolded horizontally, Dewu's product pages adopt a left-right split layout: one side displays a large product image, while the other presents price, feature specifications and service information.
Users can look at a product's appearance while learning about materials and functions, without repeatedly scrolling up and down between images and text.
The larger screen also makes product details easier to inspect. When choosing sneakers, users can observe the shoe shape, upper design and midsole outline from different angles, gaining a more complete understanding of the product's appearance.
The page also displays multiple colorways at the same time. After switching, the product images and corresponding prices and specifications update in sync, making it easy to compare the appearance and price differences of different colorways.
In addition to the current price, the product page places Dewu App's price trend chart and the product display on the same screen. While viewing a product, users can simultaneously understand recent transaction price changes, consider appearance, features and price together, and gain more reference for their purchase.
In March 2024, Tim Cook, then Apple CEO and now Executive Chairman of Apple's board, held a technical exchange with Dewu's R&D team and experienced Dewu's innovative application on Apple Vision Pro on site. Cook affirmed the related technical investment, saying he was pleased to see Dewu developers "reshape the shopping platform for Apple Vision Pro."
A Dewu App product representative said that from Apple Vision Pro's spatial interaction to the iPhone Duo's foldable large screen, new terminal forms are also changing how consumers learn about products. For Dewu, adapting to new devices is not just moving original pages onto a larger screen, but using new interaction and display capabilities to present purchase-related information such as product images, details, prices and try-on effects more fully.
