Imported Order Volume at Shenyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone Hits Record High

Sorting lights flash continuously, conveyor belts run at high speed, picking, packing, and labeling orders... In the golden autumn season, the cross-border e-commerce bonded warehouse at the Shenyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone is bustling with activity. Imported snacks, beauty products, and skincare items arrive from across the globe, transferring to logistics networks here before reaching households everywhere.

According to statistics from Shenyang Customs, in the first eight months of this year, the imported order volume under the cross-border e-commerce bonded stocking model at the Shenyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone reached 2.0585 million, a year-on-year increase of 38.64%, setting a historical high for the same period. New foreign trade formats such as cross-border e-commerce are becoming an important force in stabilizing foreign trade and expanding consumption.

"Importing is not just about 'bringing in' overseas goods; it is about connecting high-quality global supplies to the Liaoning consumer market, injecting new momentum into expanding domestic demand, promoting consumption, and stabilizing foreign trade," said Ruan Jinxiu, head of the Bonded Section of Liaozhong Customs under Shenyang Customs.

The record-high order volume relies on model innovation and industrial clustering. According to reports, the cross-border e-commerce bonded stocking model involves enterprises storing overseas goods in bulk in the bonded warehouse of the comprehensive bonded zone. After consumers place orders, customs supervision ensures rapid outbound delivery—"bulk in, retail out"—resulting in faster customs clearance and lower costs. In recent years, leading cross-border e-commerce companies such as Tmall Global, JD International, and Pinduoduo have successively established operations within the jurisdiction of Shenyang Customs, and the largest cross-border e-commerce bonded warehouse in Northeast China has been built here, further shortening the distance for ordinary people to "buy globally."

Since the beginning of this year, the cross-border e-commerce import and export business volume, the number of manifests, and the number of operating entities within the jurisdiction of Shenyang Customs have all achieved steady growth, with overall operations progressing steadily and the resilience of new foreign trade formats continuously highlighted.

Imported snacks and beauty products go directly into people's homes, and safety leaves no room for carelessness. Shenyang Customs focuses on the source, using big data analysis to assess risks, strengthening daily supervision through on-site inspections and video monitoring, and conducting risk monitoring for goods within the zone to strictly ensure the safety of imported cross-border e-commerce goods.

At the same time, Shenyang Customs continues to optimize customs clearance services, streamline compliance declaration procedures, reduce inspection and clearance times, and implement a "priority inspection, rapid release" green channel, allowing popular goods to leave the warehouse quickly and be delivered promptly, fully meeting consumers' immediate needs.
