[Click to register] Dutch lithography giant ASML on Wednesday forecast fourth-quarter sales that will exceed analyst expectations, driven by sustained strong demand for artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chip manufacturing equipment; at the same time, the company also narrowed its 2026 performance outlook range.

The company expects fourth-quarter net sales to be between 14.2 billion and 15.2 billion euros (approximately 15.9 billion to 17 billion US dollars), with a gross margin of approximately 57%. In comparison, analysts surveyed by LSEG had previously expected sales of 14.19 billion euros and a gross margin of 55.4%.

The company narrowed its 2026 net sales forecast range to 44 billion to 45 billion euros, compared with the previous forecast of 43 billion to 45 billion euros, and expects a gross margin of approximately 56%.

ASML is the world's largest supplier of chip manufacturing equipment and the only manufacturer of EUV (extreme ultraviolet lithography) equipment required to produce the most advanced chips, and is regarded as a bellwether for the buildout of the artificial intelligence (AI) industry.
