CHINA STARCH (03838) announced that it has appointed Zhongzhou International Capital Limited, a licensed corporation authorized under the Securities and Futures Ordinance to conduct Type 1 (dealing in securities) and Type 6 (advising on corporate finance) regulated activities, as its independent financial advisor in accordance with Listing Rule 14A.44. The advisor will provide recommendations to the independent board committee and independent shareholders regarding the thermal power plant construction contract and the proposed transactions under it. The appointment has been approved by the independent board committee.
