Stock Track08-07

Fluor Corporation (FLR) stock soared 13.93% in intraday trading on Friday, extending a pre-market rally after the engineering and construction firm reported second-quarter results that significantly exceeded analyst expectations.

The company posted adjusted earnings of $0.91 per share, well above the consensus estimate of $0.70. Revenue climbed 8.8% year-over-year to $4.33 billion, surpassing the $3.92 billion forecast. New awards surged to $6.1 billion from $1.8 billion a year ago, reflecting robust demand across its key markets. The Energy Solutions segment saw a sharp profit increase, driven by favorable project close-outs, while the Urban Solutions segment benefited from higher execution levels on mining and metals projects.

Fluor also narrowed its full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance to $500–$525 million and completed a $175 million divestiture of its Mexico joint venture. The strong quarterly performance and upbeat operational metrics fueled the stock's sharp intraday gains.
