Vipshop today announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2022.
Vipshop total net revenues for the second quarter of 2022 were RMB24.5 billion(US$3.7 billion), as compared with RMB29.6 billion in the prior year period.
Net income attributable to Vipshop's shareholders for the second quarter of 2022 increased by 17.4% year over year to RMB1.3 billion(US$191.5 million) from RMB1.1 billionin the prior year period.
Vipshop shares jumped 7% after posting financial results.GMV for the second quarter of 2022 wasRMB40.6 billion, as compared withRMB48.1 billionin the prior year period.
Gross profit for the second quarter of 2022 wasRMB5.0 billion(US$750.1 million), as compared withRMB6.0 billionin the prior year period.
Non-GAAP net income attributable to Vipshop's shareholders for the second quarter of 2022 increased by 8.4% year over year toRMB1.6 billion(US$237.7 million) fromRMB1.5 billionin the prior year period.
The number of active customers for the second quarter of 2022 was 41.7 million, as compared with 51.1 million in the prior year period.
Total orders for the second quarter of 2022 were 186.3 million, as compared with 221.5 million in the prior year period.
