The province's inaugural specialized aerospace industry patent pool, spearheaded by the National Aerospace Equipment Industry Intellectual Property Operation Center, has recently been established and put into operation.
This patent pool concentrates on two critical sectors: aerospace foundational materials and high-end castings and forgings. It has already brought together seven member organizations and consolidated over 60 high-value core patents.
Aerospace foundational materials and high-end castings and forgings form the essential foundation for the research, development, and production of aviation equipment. They represent a vital link in securing independent and controllable industrial and supply chains. This initiative also serves as a significant breakthrough for the province in implementing the national innovation-driven development strategy and achieving technological self-reliance and strength.
The National Aerospace Equipment Industry Intellectual Property Operation Center has refined operational guidelines and enhanced working mechanisms through multiple industry-specific seminars. This effort has steadily realized the physical establishment, standardized management, and regular operation of the patent pool.
The launch of this patent pool is a crucial measure for the province to revitalize existing scientific and technological innovation resources, streamline the technology transfer pipeline, and stimulate industrial innovation vitality.
By establishing a one-stop platform for cross-licensing patents, it effectively dismantles technical barriers within the industrial chain, reduces innovation costs for businesses in research, development, and technology application transfer. It leverages institutional innovation in intellectual property to solidify the foundation for independent and controllable industrial development, transforming the advantages of innovation resources into a competitive edge for high-quality industrial growth.
It is reported that the National Aerospace Equipment Industry Intellectual Property Operation Center will systematically review pilot experiences, continuously optimize the patent pool's operational management system, and enhance the efficiency of centralized operational services.
The center plans to accelerate the layout and construction of patent pools for aerospace subsystems, broaden the pathways for intellectual property to empower industrial upgrading, and strive to build a benchmark model for aerospace intellectual property operation in the western region. This effort aims to contribute provincial strength to serving the broader national strategy of building a strong aviation industry.
