HBM Holdings-B (02142) saw its shares jump more than 7% in early trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. As of the time of writing, the stock was up 7.23% at HK$13.65, with a trading volume of HK$34.03 million.
The company recently issued a positive profit alert, forecasting revenue of US$120 million to US$125 million for the first half of 2026, with a net profit of US$62 million to US$67 million for the same period. The strong performance is attributed to ongoing strategic collaborations with global pharmaceutical giants, revenue from out-licensing innovative products and cooperative agreements, and robust growth in its antibody-related business through its subsidiary, Nona Biosciences.
Notably, in July, the company entered into a strategic partnership with China's Sinopharm to establish a joint innovation entity. The collaboration will focus on research and development in the field of innovative biologics, with strategic priorities covering areas such as oncology and immuno-inflammatory diseases. Under the terms of the agreement, both parties will share research and development costs and jointly own product rights.
