On October 15, workers harvested "Sea Rice" in the Dongjiang Port area of Tianjin Port. Sea Rice, also known as salt-tolerant rice, is a variety developed through hybrid breeding techniques based on wild rice that can naturally survive in high-salinity and alkaline conditions. In 2024, Tianjin Port Group collaborated with Tianjin Agricultural University to conduct planting trials of sea rice on a 3,000 square meter saline-alkali field in the Dongjiang Port area.
