WB-SW Reports Q1 2026 Financial Results: Net Profit Plummets 67.55% Year-on-Year

WB-SW (09898) has released its financial results for the first quarter of 2026. The company reported net revenue of approximately $421 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 6.17%. However, net profit attributable to Weibo shareholders was $34.715 million, marking a significant decrease of 67.55% compared to the same period last year. Basic net earnings per share stood at $0.15.

As of March 2026, the platform's monthly active users reached 562 million, while daily active users numbered 254 million.

"We are satisfied with our performance in the first quarter," stated Wang Gaofei, CEO of Weibo. "On the user and product front, we optimized the consumption experience of the homepage feed and enhanced the supply and distribution of high-quality video content, effectively improving user retention and engagement on the platform. Regarding the content ecosystem, by elevating the quality of trending content, deepening community interactions, and strengthening AI-powered search capabilities, we have further enhanced users' content consumption efficiency and interactive experience. In terms of commercialization, the advertising business demonstrated stable performance in Q1. We will continue to promote Weibo's content marketing solutions to more industries and clients, while leveraging AI technology to systematically improve advertising conversion efficiency."
