Live streaming has become a key tool for young volunteers back in their hometowns, helping to boost farm product sales. The Communist Youth League of She County recently organized a group of college student volunteers for a practical agricultural live streaming initiative.
In the field, volunteers can be seen broadcasting directly from a vineyard, showcasing the fresh produce. They worked alongside local streamers, learning live selling techniques to promote local specialties like grapes, walnut oil, and pepper shoot vegetables.
Beyond just selling products, the volunteers also shared stories about their hometown online, highlighting the area's scenery. This approach not only drove up orders but also drew tourists to the region for sightseeing and fruit picking.
This year, over 160 college students have taken part in the "Return to Hometown" social practice program. By using online platforms, they are helping to expand the market for She County's agricultural products, supporting local farmers in increasing their income and bringing these goods to a wider audience.
