Stardust Intelligence recently wrapped up the grand final of its Stardust OS Robot Hackathon in Shenzhen, according to a morning announcement on October 28.

Organizers say the event is China's largest robot application hackathon open to creators from diverse backgrounds, drawing 47 teams across the Beijing, Shenzhen, and grand final stages, with participants hailing from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macau.

At the grand final, 17 teams worked intensively for 36 hours, and 16 apps successfully completed real-machine testing after running through simulated environments, achieving a 94% real-machine deployment rate.

Competing teams leveraged the robot capability modules and development tools provided by Stardust OS (Astribot OS, or AOS), combined with large models such as GPT and DeepSeek, to complete robot app development starting from a single sentence of requirements without writing low-level code from scratch.

AOS packages perception, mobility, manipulation, and interaction capabilities into callable, composable Meta packages and Skills.

Among the winning projects, the champion team "Remote Avatar" established a two-way real-time control link between a mobile phone and a robot within 36 hours, enabling the real machine to perform tasks such as scooping cat litter, watering plants, pouring water, and picking up packages.

The two runner-up teams, GowithFlow and the Brush-and-Serpent team, explored robotic camera tracking and calligraphy with a brush pen, respectively.

Third-place teams included "Crossing River Pawn," which explored robot chess playing; Symbios, which used light-painting graffiti linked with camera shooting; and "Undefined," which targeted automated material collection for 3D printing.
