On November 3, a financial frontline report stated that CITIC BANK (ASX: 00998) held its 2026 third-quarter results briefing today.
Vice President and Chief Risk Officer Jin Xinian noted that in the first three quarters, CITIC BANK's key asset quality indicators remained stable, continuing the steady trend from the first half of the year.
Jin Xinian introduced CITIC BANK's management measures from the perspectives of structure, system, and capability.
From a structural perspective, CITIC BANK has formed a high degree of consensus on structure as the foundation, and structural adjustment has become more robust. This is CITIC BANK's greatest confidence in achieving asset quality control. The bank's credit resources are further concentrated toward strategic regions, advantageous industries, high-quality customer groups, and products.
From a systemic perspective, the bank has consistently adhered to the risk control philosophy of effectively controlling risks and powerfully promoting development, pursuing risk-filtered returns, and not trading risk sinking for short-term gains. Since the beginning of this year, CITIC BANK, in response to changing circumstances and management needs, has further optimized its risk control system, systematically improving the approval authorization system from multiple dimensions including business, products, and institutions.
From a capability perspective, CITIC BANK, guided by problem orientation and goal orientation, has focused on enhancing three major capabilities: the ability to control new risks at the source, the ability to manage problem assets, and digital risk control capabilities.
Jin Xinian stated that in the future, CITIC BANK will earnestly implement the "Three-Three Strategy," with the goal of creating value through risk control, continuously improving the risk management system that effectively controls risks and powerfully promotes development, optimizing the credit structure, and enhancing management capabilities. There is confidence in achieving the goal of stable asset quality for the full year.
