An announcement from CSTONE PHARMA-B (ASX: 02616) reveals that its Chief Executive Officer, President of Research and Development, and Executive Director, Dr. Jianxin Yang, along with other board members and senior management, have collectively acquired 2,420,500 shares in the open market during June 2026.

This transaction, referred to as the share purchase, includes Dr. Yang's acquisition of 1,237,500 shares. Since his appointment as CEO in August 2022, Dr. Yang has cumulatively purchased a total of 13,714,500 shares in the open market.

Following these recent acquisitions, Dr. Yang's total shareholding as of the announcement date represents approximately 5.26% of the company's total issued share capital.

The company's leadership, including Dr. Yang and other senior executives, has expressed strong confidence in the firm's proprietary R&D achievements, its progress in commercialization, and its long-term business development.

Specifically, the company highlighted that the global multi-center Phase II clinical trial for its core pipeline asset, CS2009 (a PD-1/VEGF/CTLA-4 trispecific antibody), is progressing smoothly.

Plans are in place to release the latest clinical data in the upcoming interim results announcement and at the 2026 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) annual congress.

Furthermore, the company intends to engage with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) before the end of this year to discuss the protocol for a Phase III global multi-center registration study (MRCT), aiming to initiate the first batch of global Phase III MRCT trials.

In a separate move during June 2026, the company itself repurchased a cumulative total of 4,597,000 shares, with all repurchased shares slated for cancellation.

This share buyback initiative is seen as a clear demonstration of the company's firm belief in its own long-term business growth.

It also reflects the company's commitment to prioritizing shareholder value returns and its ongoing efforts to enhance its capital return mechanisms.
