US Stock Futures Decline as S&P 500 Futures Losses Widen to 0.5%

Deep News08:40

US stock index futures fell, erasing earlier gains.

The drop followed a projection by Decision Desk HQ that incumbent Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff would win the Georgia Senate race, delivering an early blow to Republicans.

S&P 500 futures losses widened to 0.5%, while Nasdaq 100 futures declined 0.88%.

As initial midterm election results gradually came in, US Treasury yields and the dollar moved lower in early Asian trading.

The 10-year Treasury yield at one point fell 5 basis points to 4.91%.
