Does applying for a job require basketball skills or musical knowledge? China Life's Chaoyang Branch, located on the 6th floor of the West Tower, Century Fortune Center in Beijing's Chaoyang District, posted several job openings for positions including Leadership Assistant, Administrative Assistant, and Financial Manager. It was noted that several postings specified "basketball skills preferred" or "music lovers preferred" directly in their job titles.

However, the actual job descriptions for these positions did not directly mention any work responsibilities related to basketball or music. Taking the Leadership Assistant role as an example, the core duties listed were threefold: 1. Customer Service: handling notifications for existing clients, policy renewals, arranging appointments for policy services, and organizing maintenance activities; 2. Team Support: recruitment, interviewing, managing employee onboarding/offboarding, assisting with meeting organization, and basic team management; 3. Other Tasks: completing ad-hoc assignments from leaders, with potential for promotion to supervisory roles for high performers.

The job requirements were stated as: age 21-45, college degree or higher (gender不限), standard Mandarin, high emotional intelligence, affability, drive, strong learning ability, and resilience under pressure.

When contacted on the platform by someone posing as a job applicant regarding these preferences, the team manager responsible for the positions stated that the jobs themselves have no requirements related to sports. The manager explained, "The editor just wrote that casually, and it can't be changed now."

Previously, another media outlet had contacted a team supervisor at the company. In a telephone conversation, the supervisor clarified, "These are hobbies of some of our direct teams or departments. When interfacing with clients, having more hobbies can make clients more receptive, but this is not a primary requirement."
