The 2025 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference took place from October 16 to 18 at the Expo Park in Huangpu District, Shanghai. During the event, Miao Qing, Chairman of YINGLI Group, engaged in a dialogue with Sina Finance.

Regarding YINGLI's latest developments in overseas expansion, Miao Qing stated, “We mainly target several regions and countries for our overseas layout, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin American countries, which can also be seen as the countries along the Belt and Road. To address the different electricity characteristics and demands of these regions, we have formed a 'Light Storage Charging Alliance'. This allows us to leverage our top-quality supply chain resources domestically—strong, complete, and cost-effective—where we collaborate as a collective when entering the international market. Based on this foundation, we launched our own overseas brand, UniGo.”

She explained, “A key concept within UniGo is collaboration, as we unite products throughout the entire industrial chain, including photovoltaic storage, design firms, and investors to create a robust collective. The other aspect of collaboration is to provide overseas clients with bundled products, allowing them to have a one-stop, all-scenario, integrated product system that facilitates easier and more efficient installation of entire power generation systems abroad.”

Miao Qing introduced that UniGo has laid out about 50 sub-divisions covering industries such as agriculture, fisheries, and diesel alternatives. “In Southeast Asia, diesel power is still in use, costing around twenty dollars. However, if we switch to light storage charging alternatives, the cost can be reduced to about six dollars, significantly enhancing production efficiency and energy effectiveness.”
