Porsche's 2025 Deliveries Drop 10% Amid Weak China Demand and EU Cyber Security Rules

Deep News01-16

German sports car manufacturer Porsche announced on Friday that its global vehicle deliveries for 2025 fell by 10% year-on-year, joining German peers like Mercedes-Benz and BMW in facing weak performance.

Porsche delivered a total of 279,449 vehicles in 2025, compared to 310,718 units delivered in 2024.

The automaker stated that despite stable sales growth in the North American market, its sales in China, Germany, and other European regions saw significant declines of 26%, 16%, and 13%, respectively.

The company explained in a statement that the sales decline in Europe was influenced by the European Union's new cybersecurity regulations; in the Chinese market, Porsche is not only confronting intense competition in the luxury vehicle segment but also facing fierce rivalry in the pure electric vehicle sector.

Porsche reported that pure electric vehicles accounted for 22.2% of its global deliveries in 2025, while plug-in hybrid models made up 12.1% of the total.

The company noted, "This places the global share of pure electric vehicle sales at the upper end of the targeted range of 20% to 22% set for 2025."
