WeRide and GAC Debut First Collaborative Vehicle with Enhanced Autonomous Driving System

On April 16, GAC Aion officially commenced pre-sales for its new intelligent urban SUV, the Aion N60. The vehicle is equipped with WeRide's end-to-end advanced driver-assistance solution, WeRide Driving (WeRide WRD 3.0), with pre-sale prices starting from 115,800 yuan. The system comes as standard across all variants. Powered by WeRide WRD 3.0, the Aion N60 can achieve high-level assisted driving across all scenarios and functions, including urban roads, highways, parking, and active and passive safety, effectively delivering "end-to-end automation for seamless commutes."

This marks not only the first mass-produced passenger vehicle resulting from the collaboration between WeRide and GAC Aion, but also the first time WeRide has implemented its end-to-end solution on the Qualcomm Snapdragon® platform. With this achievement, WeRide becomes the first—and currently the only—autonomous driving solution provider to have successfully mass-produced an end-to-end system on both the NVIDIA DRIVE® and Qualcomm Snapdragon® mainstream automotive computing platforms.

Leveraging WeRide WRD 3.0, the Aion N60 utilizes multi-objective intent prediction and full-scenario semantic recognition to proactively understand the behavior of various traffic participants. This highly human-like cognitive capability enables the vehicle to anticipate potential risks and dynamically adjust speed and trajectory when navigating unstructured scenarios such as parallel movement of non-motorized vehicles, pedestrians crossing abruptly, urban villages, and multi-level interchanges. While ensuring safety margins, the Aion N60 also avoids efficiency losses caused by overly conservative driving, offering users a confident and smooth travel experience.

The advanced autonomous driving capabilities demonstrated by the Aion N60 are not solely the result of real-world learning but have been systematically refined within WeRide's proprietary universal simulation model, WeRide GENESIS. Serving as a "world model" that bridges the physical and virtual realms, WeRide GENESIS integrates physical AI and generative AI, enabling the generation of highly realistic urban road networks, diverse traffic participants, and extreme edge-case scenarios within minutes.

Comprising four core modules—AI scenarios, AI agents, AI metrics, and AI diagnostics—WeRide GENESIS forms a closed loop from scenario generation and algorithm training to quantitative evaluation and diagnostic attribution. As a result, the Aion N60 has been rigorously tested in a simulation environment that far exceeds the complexity of real-world public roads by several orders of magnitude. Scenarios ranging from lane intrusions, unprotected left turns, and emergency avoidance to pedestrian and cyclist incursions, road blockages, extreme weather, and even complex interactions under disaster conditions have been thoroughly validated.

Looking ahead, WeRide plans to collaborate further with GAC Aion and other subsidiaries of GAC Group to introduce additional intelligent driving models across various price segments, delivering safe, comfortable, and intelligent assisted driving experiences to more users.
