According to a financial news app report, LONGBIO-B (01779) surged over 6%, rising 6.65% as of press time to HK$73.75, with a turnover of HK$1.703 million.
On the news front, on October 21, LONGBIO-B announced that topline data from the Phase II clinical trial of LP-005 (a bispecific antibody fusion protein independently developed by the group, targeting C5 and C3b complement and used for the treatment of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH)) conducted in China has been unblinded.
The topline data showed that LP-005 has significant efficacy as well as favorable safety and tolerability profiles.
LP-005 is the first product from the group's bispecific antibody development platform and is a bispecific antibody fusion protein targeting C5 and C3b complement.
The board of directors believes that the topline data from the Phase II clinical trial confirms that LP-005, as a dual-target complement inhibitor, possesses competitive advantages in terms of efficacy, while also demonstrating favorable safety and tolerability characteristics, and the Q4W dosing interval reflects the long-acting advantage of LP-005.
These results support further advancement of the clinical development of LP-005.
