On the morning of December 2, Dazhou, Sichuan, held a press conference titled "Achieving the '14th Five-Year Plan' with a New Look for Dazhou." Tang Qibing, Deputy Director of the Dazhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, highlighted that since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Dazhou has focused on building a regional tourism hub. By leveraging cultural initiatives, institutional reforms, resource optimization, and integrated development, the city has achieved progress in cultural prosperity, tourism industry upgrades, and sports development.
To boost consumption during the upcoming New Year and Spring Festival holidays, Dazhou will launch three major campaigns: "Travel in Dazhou: Comfort and Leisure" for cultural tourism, "Compete in Dazhou: Welcoming the New Year with Energy" for sports events, and "Art in Dazhou: Celebratory Performances" for cultural shows. These efforts will be supported by three key promotional measures to stimulate the cultural and tourism market.
On December 5, the 2025 "Winter Tour in Dazhou" Culture, Sports, and Tourism Consumption Season will kick off in Da’bei Street, Tongchuan District, officially marking the start of holiday-driven consumption activities for the 2026 New Year and Spring Festival. Over 100 events will be organized under the theme "Celebrating the New Year with Shopping (GO)," alongside three major incentives to drive spending.
The three promotional measures include: 1. Issuing municipal-level culture and tourism vouchers worth 1.6 million yuan, including special vouchers for the 5A-rated Bashan Grand Canyon and Spring Festival 2026 promotions. 2. Implementing a "Bring Tourists to Dazhou" marketing incentive, rewarding eligible travel agencies for attracting out-of-town visitors and promoting Dazhou’s cultural and tourism resources. 3. Introducing public benefit policies, such as free guided tours, discounts, and waived entrance fees at museums, scenic spots, homestays, and star-rated hotels to boost market activity.
