The Taiwan Weighted Index rose by 0.4% during trading to reach 40,885.05 points, setting another all-time high. It closed up 0.16% at 40,769.29 points, also marking a record closing high. Year to date, the Taiwan Weighted Index has gained 40.76%, ranking second globally, trailing only the South Korean Composite Index's 64.61% increase.
