LINGYI iTech Q3 2026: Revenue Climbs 11%, Quarterly Earnings Rebound; Year-to-Date Profit Dips on FX and R&D Outlays

Bulletin Express10-29

LINGYI iTECH (Guangdong) Company reported solid top-line growth for the July-September quarter of 2026, while elevated research expenses and sizable foreign-exchange losses weighed on cumulative profit for the first nine months of the year.

Revenue momentum regained. • Third-quarter revenue rose 11.15% year on year to RMB 15.52 billion (USD ≈ 2.13 billion). • Nine-month revenue reached RMB 40.67 billion, up 8.20% from the comparable 2025 period as product-mix optimisation and new-generation customer launches lifted sales.

Quarterly earnings recovery; year-to-date lag. • Net profit attributable to shareholders rebounded 14.00% in Q3 to RMB 1.15 billion. • Nevertheless, cumulative attributable profit slipped 1.27% to RMB 1.92 billion, reflecting higher R&D spending and a sharp rise in finance costs. • Excluding non-recurring items, nine-month core profit fell 3.77% to RMB 1.45 billion.

Margin dynamics. • Group gross profit for the first three quarters increased 19.26%, lifting gross margin by 1.70 percentage points year on year, aided by a richer product mix and technological upgrades. • Finance costs surged 174.67% to RMB 0.88 billion, primarily on foreign-exchange losses, dampening bottom-line performance.

Cash flow and balance-sheet highlights. • Operating cash inflow softened 3.61% to RMB 2.21 billion. • Heavy allocations to wealth-management products and deposits pushed investing cash outflows to RMB 8.96 billion, a 35.62% increase. • Net financing inflow jumped to RMB 6.43 billion, bolstered by proceeds from an H-share issuance; capital reserve expanded 62.91% to RMB 18.62 billion. • Total assets reached RMB 66.71 billion, up 15.22% from end-2025; equity attributable to shareholders rose 34.77% to RMB 32.40 billion. • Treasury shares doubled to RMB 0.84 billion after the Board raised the 2026 buyback ceiling to up to RMB 800 million.

Cost and investment trends. • R&D expenditure grew 25.7% to RMB 2.24 billion as the company intensified investment in strategic projects. • Selling and distribution expenses rose 30.96%, while the cost base was further pressured by non-cash credit impairment charges and higher asset write-offs.

Capital management and risk hedging. • The Board lifted the 2026 foreign-exchange derivative trading limit to RMB 20 billion to mitigate currency volatility. • Idle self-owned funds earmarked for wealth-management products increased to RMB 5.5 billion. • RMB 550 million of unused IPO proceeds were temporarily deployed to supplement working capital for up to 12 months.

Governance and accounting updates. • From the 2026 interim report onward, LINGYI iTech prepares financials solely under China Accounting Standards for Business Enterprises, having discontinued separate IFRS reporting. • Revised expected credit-loss models and applied the Ministry of Finance’s Interpretation No. 20, affecting receivables provisioning and financial-instrument classification.

Outlook context. Management attributes the Q3 turnaround to demand for higher-value, technologically advanced components in the smartphone and automotive segments. However, sustained R&D outlays and currency movements remain key variables for full-year profitability. The third-quarter figures are unaudited; full-year audited results are expected to provide further clarity on margin sustainability and capital deployment effectiveness.
