COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation Co., Ltd. has released a circular proposing the election of Mr. He Bin as a non-executive director. Shareholders will vote on the appointment at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) set for 2:30 p.m. on 1 September 2026 at the Ocean Hotel in Shanghai.
The board, following a review by its Nomination Committee and in line with the company’s nomination and diversity policies, resolved on 11 August 2026 to put forward Mr. He’s candidacy. If approved, his tenure will begin upon the passing of the resolution and run concurrently with the current board term. He will also join the board’s Audit Committee and receive remuneration comprising a basic salary and performance-based pay.
Mr. He Bin, born in June 1983, currently serves as a full-time external director at direct subsidiaries of China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited. His previous roles include vice-president, president, chairman and Party Committee secretary of China Marine Bunker Qinhuangdao Co., Ltd. He holds a master’s degree in Management from China University of Petroleum. As of the latest practicable date (7 August 2026), Mr. He has no shareholding in COSCO SHIPPING Energy, no relationships with its substantial or controlling shareholders, and no other Hong Kong– or overseas-listed directorships in the past three years.
