According to the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, from January to September this year, Beijing added 766 new physical first stores and hosted 893 debut, first-show, first-exhibition, and first-performance events. In the first three quarters, Beijing's debut economy overall displayed new characteristics of "technology empowering new scenarios, national trend brands lighting up the Central Axis, and high-quality business formats extending toward suburban micro-vacations."

Dining first stores account for nearly 60%, and the first-store economic structure is being renewed. According to statistics, in the first three quarters of this year, dining first stores accounted for nearly 60%, showing notable features of "self-pleasing consumption" and "broadened geographic reach." Healthy light meals and differentiated tea drinks precisely cater to the self-pleasing consumption needs of young groups. In September, Beijing first stores such as LUNABERRi Greek Yogurt Bowls and OTHERTEA landed one after another at Chaoyang Joy City, and Starbucks Reserve·Xingyifang's new concept store made a stunning appearance.

At the same time, high-standard dining is accelerating its extension into suburban micro-vacation scenarios. High-level dining is no longer limited to core business districts, effectively filling the gap in high-end dining around Beijing's micro-vacation areas. In addition, suburban dining consumption has been significantly upgraded, with international specialty dining such as the German Munich Royal Brewery landing intensively in Huairou; fusion dining brands such as Zheng Yanghe Barbecue·Bistro and Bei'an Nanshan entered Miyun.

International high-level brands continue to gather. Following Tiffany's latest global image standalone flagship store, FILA KIDS' first global diamond paradise store and others landed one after another. The "outdoor economy" continues to heat up, with outdoor sports achieving full-category coverage. In September, Macondo and Anta Sports Park's innovative concept stores entered the market intensively, precisely matching the sporty lifestyle of the younger generation; "national trend + Eastern aesthetics" reconstructs consumption scenes, with Qianmen Xi Xinglong Street intensively introducing local brands such as Fuyu Manpu, Xidi Erzuo, and Yujian, using "she economy" categories such as aromatherapy skincare, handmade textiles, and natural personal care as carriers.

Service consumption formats show prominent iterative features, with "AI + technology" continuing to drive the renewal of service consumption. In September, the Chaochao Healthy Lifestyle AI Experience Hall and the Time Gate Metaverse AI Science, Education, Culture and Trend Hall landed one after another, marking the acceleration of AI technology from the industrial end to the offline consumer end; combined with projects such as meland club's first Beijing 3D-printing parent-child science and innovation park, technology entertainment has become a strong track.

Technology debuts highlight hard-core strength. It is understood that the city's first-store pattern, on the basis of "one core and multiple poles," has further expanded geographically. Chaoyang District ranks first with 267 stores, continuing to play the role of the main battlefield for the debut economy. It is worth noting that the spatial layout in the third quarter showed two new highlights: First, the differentiated pattern of the "Central Axis + local culture" business district is becoming increasingly mature. Qianmen Xi Xinglong Street is creating a new cultural consumption calling card with "Central Axis + Eastern aesthetics." The "Central Axis Cultural Garden," opened in July, became Beijing's first centralized pop-up store for university cultural and creative products, activating the ancient street with "youth economy." Second, non-standard commercial spaces are deeply integrating with the creator economy. Shoukai Songzhuang LONG Street in Tongzhou District has gathered nearly 30 first stores, taking "creator valley" as its core concept and introducing a group of original designer brands and local cultural and creative brands such as Moyu Art, Rushi Liangzuo, and Tuonei, creating a new model of "art community commerce."

Technology debuts highlight hard-core strength. Relying on major exhibition economy platforms such as the China International Fair for Trade in Services and the World Robot Conference, "hard-core technology" made concentrated debuts. Moonshot AI's Kimi K3 large model and the Chinese Academy of Sciences' 100-kilowatt Stirling power generation prototype made their global debut; companies such as Unitree and UBTECH collectively released 311 debut new products at the robot conference, further highlighting the trend of technology debuts and the integration of digital and real economies.

Multiple tracks join forces. In the first three quarters, the city hosted a total of 893 debut, first-show, first-exhibition, and first-performance events, including 150 in September alone, up 17.2% month on month. The vitality of the debut economy was fully unleashed, with "exhibition economy" providing the stage, "event economy" attracting traffic, and "performing arts economy" gathering energy, with multiple tracks joining forces.

International first shows gathered global attention. Top brands such as Dior, Rolex, and Disney made high-profile appearances. The fashion week matrix ignited a fashion debut boom. China Fashion Week 2026 and Beijing Fashion Week opened one after another, with local brands such as Ellassay, LANCY, and Xtep releasing new-season haute couture and sports trend collections; overseas brands such as France's Zadig&Voltaire, Germany's Laurel, and the US's GANT completed their China debuts. Cultural and sports first performances and first exhibitions activated enthusiasm across the city. The WTT China Grand Smash brought heavyweight event debuts and first shows, effectively driving foot traffic and consumption linkages in surrounding business districts; major cultural and museum exhibitions such as the Palace Museum's "Models: Tang and Song Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition" and the National Museum's "Shen Yaoyi Long March Artworks Exhibition" were intensively updated; overseas art groups such as Verdi's opera Rigoletto and the original musical The Brothers Karamazov gathered in Beijing, with the "performing arts economy" continuing to inject international content supply into the capital's cultural consumption.
