At the ceremony, responsible officials from the Bank of China Hebei Branch and the county TCM hospital delivered speeches successively, congratulating the project on its completion and expressing gratitude for the support from the Central Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office and the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Charitable Fund. Afterwards, Tu Jianbin, Wang Lei, Zhang Jingfang and others jointly came to the donation plaque to witness the official launch of the project.
Zanhuang County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital is a Grade II Class A hospital and was incorporated into Grade III hospital management in 2024. Over the years, the Central Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office has coordinated assistance funds totaling more than 13.084 million yuan and 500,000 Hong Kong dollars, as well as equipment and vehicles worth more than 10 million yuan, helping the hospital upgrade its hardware and build its talent team. This infrastructure renovation and upgrading project was implemented with 2.95 million yuan funded by the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Charitable Fund, completing the installation of new elevators, the renewal of old elevators, the purchase of generator sets and the renovation of power supply facilities, effectively improving the hardware conditions for local residents seeking medical treatment.
After the ceremony, the research delegation inspected the newly commissioned elevators and the emergency power generation room on site, learning in detail about the operating conditions of the equipment. This research visit not only reviewed the results of previous paired assistance work but also laid a solid foundation for deepening follow-up collaboration and exchanges. Zanhuang County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital will make good use of the results of the assistance projects, continue to improve its medical service level, and truly translate assistance resources into tangible livelihood benefits that the people can see and feel.
