CHINA EAST EDU Reports Fiscal Year Profit Surge of 47.5% to RMB756 Million

CHINA EAST EDU (00667) announced its financial results for the fiscal year 2025. The company achieved revenue of RMB4.616 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 12.1%. Gross profit rose to RMB2.552 billion, up 20.7% compared to the previous year. Net profit attributable to owners was RMB756 million, a significant increase of 47.5% year-over-year. Adjusted net profit reached RMB792 million, growing by 50.9%. Basic earnings per share were 34.35 cents. The board has recommended a final dividend of HK$0.30 per ordinary share.

For the year ended December 31, 2025, the number of new student enrollments and new customer registrations increased by approximately 5.5% compared to the year ended December 31, 2024. During the year, the group adjusted its student recruitment strategy and optimized its course structure, which helped attract a greater number of high-value new students. Consequently, the group's revenue increased from approximately RMB4.116 billion for the year ended December 31, 2024, to approximately RMB4.616 billion for the year ended December 31, 2025, an increase of about 12.1%. The improvement in the gross profit margin for the year ended December 31, 2025, was primarily attributable to the substantial revenue growth, while the cost of revenue saw only a moderate increase due to the group's effective operational management and cost control measures.
