IWS projects FY2026 net loss to narrow by up to 66% on lower impairments and depreciation

Bulletin Express06-04

Integrated Waste Solutions Group Holdings Limited (IWS) issued a profit alert indicating that its loss attributable to shareholders for the financial year ended 31 March 2026 (FY2026) is expected to shrink by approximately 64 %–66 % from the HK$490.10 million loss recorded in FY2025. This implies an anticipated FY2026 loss in the range of about HK$166.60 million–HK$176.44 million.

The management attributes the improvement to three main factors:

1. Significantly lower impairment losses on property, plant and equipment and right-of-use assets related to the Tseung Kwan O headquarters. 2. Reduced depreciation and amortisation expenses following the FY2025 write-down of the land and building to their recoverable amounts. 3. No share of losses from a hazardous-waste-treatment associate in Mainland China after the investment was fully impaired as at 31 March 2025.

The FY2026 figures are based on the Group’s latest unaudited management accounts; audited results are scheduled for release by end-June 2026.
