China Eastern Airlines Reports Year-on-Year Passenger Traffic Decline for June

China Eastern Airlines has announced its operational statistics for June.

The company's passenger capacity, measured in available seat kilometers, saw a year-on-year decrease of 3.89% for the month. Passenger traffic, measured in revenue passenger kilometers, also fell by 3.36% compared to the same period last year.

Despite the decline in traffic, the passenger load factor improved to 86.61%, representing a 0.47 percentage point increase year-on-year.

In contrast, cargo and mail traffic, measured in cargo and mail tonne kilometers, recorded growth, rising by 4.69% in June.

Regarding its fleet, the airline introduced nine new aircraft during the month, comprising seven A320 series, one B787 series, and one C919. It also retired three A320 series aircraft.

As of the end of June, CHINA EAST AIR's total operational fleet consisted of 833 aircraft.
