Daily Liquor Price Report for June 22: Fen Chiew 20 Leads Gains, Overall Index Edges Lower from Recent High

Deep News06-22

The latest data from the daily liquor price index indicates that the average retail price for major Chinese baijiu products experienced a slight overall decline on June 22. The total cost for a bundled set of one bottle of each major product was 9,897 yuan today, a decrease of 2 yuan from yesterday's three-day high. The overall index remains below the 9,900 yuan threshold, continuing its pattern of low-level consolidation. Market sentiment at the retail level remains generally cautious, with significant price divergence persisting among core products.

Of the 11 major baijiu products tracked, four saw price increases while seven declined, giving the downside a clear advantage. On the positive side, Fen Chiew 20 led the gains, rising 6 yuan per bottle for its fourth consecutive daily increase, matching its highest price level since the beginning of June. Xijiu Junpin rose 5 yuan per bottle, approaching the 630 yuan mark again. Both Wuliangye 1618 and Gujinggong Gu 20 increased by 2 yuan per bottle, with the former rebounding slightly from its near-one-month low set the previous day, though it remains at the second-lowest level for the period.

On the downside, Premium Moutai and Guojiao 1573 led the declines, each falling 4 yuan per bottle. The former retreated to its second-lowest level in nearly a month, while the latter ended a two-day rebound but managed to hold above the 880 yuan mark. Crystal Jiannanchun dropped 3 yuan per bottle. Both Feitian Moutai and Fen Chiew Lang fell by 2 yuan per bottle. Wuliangye Pu Wu Eighth Generation and Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ each saw minor declines of 1 yuan per bottle. The former has now fallen for five consecutive sessions, continuing its descent after falling below the 800 yuan mark to reach its lowest price since February 2 of this year. The latter ended a three-day rising streak, though its price after the pullback remains at the second-highest level in nearly a month.

The daily price data is sourced from approximately 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions nationwide. These points include authorized distributors, independent dealers, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw data consists of actual transaction prices from these points over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and fully traceable data on the market prices of well-known baijiu brands. The influence of new official sales channels is becoming increasingly apparent. For instance, the official iMoutai platform began selling Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle (adjusted to 1,539 yuan on March 31) and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle (adjusted to 2,359 yuan on May 16). The daily published prices follow a calculation rule weighted by verifiable transaction volumes, and these confirmed prices have been incorporated into the terminal retail price calculations for these two products.

In other industry news, Kweichow Moutai Co.,Ltd. announced that its 2025 profit distribution plan was approved at a shareholders' meeting. The company will distribute a cash dividend of 28.02423 yuan per share (pre-tax), based on 1,250,081,601 shares excluding those in the buyback account, totaling approximately 35.033 billion yuan.
