Yin Bo is a robotics engineer at North Tianyu Mechanical & Electrical Technology Co., Ltd. Over his nine-year career, this post-90s engineer has dedicated himself to the field of industrial robotics. Through focus and passion, he has completed over ten pioneering program R&D projects in robot selection, operation, and programming, and has applied for or assisted in applying for more than 30 computer software copyrights. This year, he was honored with the title of "Langfang City Model Worker" by the municipal government.
In the production workshop of North Tianyu Mechanical & Electrical Technology Co., Ltd., Yin Bo and his colleagues are conducting final checks for equipment testing: meticulously inspecting inner walls, testing sensor sensitivity, and troubleshooting mechanical jams. Every detail is crucial for stable equipment operation. For him, the allure of manufacturing lies not only in design blueprints but also in bringing cold machinery to life, transforming it into a force that drives production.
Yin Bo, a technical leader in the Intelligent Manufacturing Department at North Tianyu, shared his perspective: "In manufacturing, it's not just about mechanical design; there's also electrical design. During the design process, you not only impart your ideas into the equipment—custom automated machinery—but you also get to see it in motion. That brings a sense of personal pride."
This pride stems from nine years of unwavering dedication. When he joined the company in 2017, under the "hands-on" guidance of a mentor, he spent three months mastering the theory of industrial robot kinematics and another six months grasping the essence of equipment fault diagnosis in practice. From participating in the company's first independently developed robot to promoting product iterations for large-scale projects, he has transformed from a "novice" to a "core team member."
Li Shihang, a dispatcher at the company's Manufacturing Center, commented on Yin Bo's contributions: "Engineer Yin is a highly capable electrical engineer at work. He has been involved in the company's major projects, supporting the advancement of key strategic initiatives. Particularly in robot operations, he took the lead in learning related knowledge and trained new employees to overcome challenges in robot usage."
Yang Yulin, an engineer in the Intelligent Manufacturing Department, added: "I see him as a walking knowledge base. If you have any questions about programming, he provides detailed answers. In daily life, he is also very warm-hearted and often helps colleagues."
The 2024 Langfang City Employee Vocational Skills Competition became a significant "upgrade point" in Yin Bo's professional understanding. The visual positioning algorithms and digital twin technology he encountered at the competition made him realize that modern industrial robot operators are no longer mere "program executors" but should be "smart production line managers."
Reflecting on this, Yin Bo said: "I applied the knowledge and insights gained from the competition to my work, such as digital twins, automated visual inspection, and no-teaching programming concepts. I realized it's not just a tool but a key hub for enhancing productivity and automation."
Over his nine-year career, Yin Bo has participated in completing over ten pioneering program R&D projects and applied for or assisted in applying for more than 30 computer software copyrights. Currently, he is leading his team in tackling the R&D of special equipment, aiming to enable robots to perform safer and more efficient "machine-for-human" tasks in hazardous environments.
He attributes his achievements to the team and the collective, emphasizing that future challenges require a lifelong learning mindset. Yin Bo stated: "Looking ahead, challenges and opportunities coexist. Faced with rapid technological iterations in the industry and continuous upgrades in intelligent manufacturing, I will maintain a humble learning attitude, stay rooted in my position, refine my skills, and meet new tasks and challenges with greater enthusiasm and professionalism. Through my efforts, I aim to achieve extraordinary results in an ordinary role, contribute to the company's development, and add value to the nation's intelligent manufacturing sector."
In his concluding remarks, Yin Bo shared his thoughts as a model worker: "From being an electrical engineer at the start of my career to becoming a technical backbone in industrial robotics, I know there are no shortcuts to growth. Standing at this new starting point, I deeply feel that the title of municipal model worker is not just an honor but a weighty responsibility. I will mentor the next generation, passing on the spirit of craftsmanship, while actively establishing an innovation studio to pool the team's wisdom, leverage external resources, and tackle critical technical challenges with full dedication. I will live up to this trust and expectation through practical action."
