CGN New Energy (01811) has announced its power generation figures for May 2026 and the year to date.
In May 2026, the company and its subsidiaries, on a consolidated basis, achieved a total power generation of 1,560.2 GWh. This represents a decrease of 9.5% compared to the same period in 2025.
The breakdown by project type shows a mixed performance. Chinese wind power projects saw a significant decline of 21.6%, while Chinese solar projects posted strong growth of 43.8%. Chinese hydropower projects also increased by 40.5%. Meanwhile, projects in South Korea decreased by 8.7%.
For the cumulative period from the start of the year to May 31, 2026, the group's total power generation reached 7,975.8 GWh. This marks a year-on-year reduction of 2.4%.
The cumulative figures by segment reveal varied trends. Chinese wind power generation fell by 17.9%. Conversely, Chinese solar power generation rose substantially by 35.8%. There was a dramatic increase of 258.6% for Chinese gas-fired projects. Chinese hydropower generation grew by 20.8%, and South Korean project generation increased by 16.4%.
