Advanced Micro Devices has entered into a multi-year partnership with Nutanix Inc. focused on building a more open and enterprise-friendly artificial intelligence platform to support the next wave of agent AI applications.

The collaboration aims to combine AMD's chips with Nutanix's cloud software and orchestration tools to create systems capable of running AI workloads seamlessly across data centers, hybrid cloud setups, and even edge environments. As part of the agreement, AMD will invest $150 million in Nutanix stock at $36.26 per share, with a commitment to provide up to an additional $100 million. This equity investment is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2026.

Investors have responded positively to this strategic direction. The companies stated that the first jointly developed agent AI platform is anticipated to begin delivery to customers by the end of 2026.
