Danone Reports Sales Growth as U.S. Market Recovers

Danone has announced its first-quarter same-store sales growth, indicating a resurgence in momentum within the U.S. market.

The French food company, known for its yogurt and bottled water products, reported a 2.7% increase in quarterly same-store sales. Sales volume rose by 1.5% year-on-year, while prices increased by 1.2%. This performance matched the average analyst forecast of 2.6% growth.

Danone highlighted the strong performance of its Stok products in the U.S. and noted improving results in its coffee creamer category. Same-store sales in the Americas region grew by 3.4%.

Looking ahead, Danone anticipates that its same-store sales growth will range between 3% and 5% by 2026.

On a reported basis, the company's first-quarter sales decreased to €6.67 billion (approximately $7.83 billion) from €6.84 billion in the same period last year.
