Sub-Center Adds Another Zhongguancun-Themed Industrial Park

Deep News11-25

The "Zhangjiawan Design Town Zhihui Park" industrial park project, a core component of Zhangjiawan Design Town, has been officially designated as a 2025 "Zhongguancun-Themed Industrial Park" by the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Science Park Management Committee. Concurrently, it has been granted a new name: "Zhongguancun (Tongzhou) Future Design Industrial Park," marking another milestone for Beijing's sub-center in strengthening design industry leadership, fostering innovative industrial ecosystems, and establishing a hub for design industries.

The "Zhongguancun-Themed Industrial Park" selection aims to identify exemplary industrial hubs with distinct characteristics, significant agglomeration effects, and comprehensive service functions, serving as benchmarks to drive the development of Beijing's international sci-tech innovation center and Zhongguancun's world-leading science park. As Tongzhou District's sole 2025 recipient of the "Zhongguancun" designation and new naming, the Zhihui Park project will benefit from triple policy advantages under "Zhongguancun Science Park, National Comprehensive Demonstration Zone for Expanding Openness in Services, and China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone." It is positioned as a premium industrial cluster integrating policy, ecological, cultural, and transportation resources.

Under the leadership of the Beijing Investment Group Party Committee and in alignment with Tongzhou Investment Company's directives, the park's operator, Beijing Zhangjiawan Design Town Co., Ltd., has actively integrated into the Zhongguancun Tongzhou Park Party Working Committee's "Party-Building Synergy, Four-Dimensional Linkage" management framework. By leveraging high-quality Party-building to propel high-quality industrial development, the company has transformed political, organizational, and resource advantages into developmental, innovative, and service strengths for the industrial park. In recent years, the park has prioritized serving the sub-center's strategic goals, optimizing industrial service ecosystems, and focusing on creative design and urban technology sectors to build a full-chain, professional service system—solidifying its role as a key nexus for linking industrial chains and spurring innovation in Zhangjiawan Design Town.

Currently, the park has established two primary industrial focuses: creative design and urban technology (AI+), accounting for 70% of its core business operations, including robotics R&D, urban tech, and creative design. To date, the park has attracted 116 enterprises, with approximately 60% holding national high-tech, Zhongguancun high-tech, or specialized/innovative ("Little Giant") certifications. Total registered capital stands at 3.816 billion yuan, with notable tenants including Wanxun Technology, Zhiyin Robotics, Renjia Robotics, BOE Yiyun, Yunyi Technology, Dehuo Technology, Tianyi Shuju, and China Enterprise Network Security Group—signaling the initial formation of an industrial ecosystem.

The park has earned multiple honors, such as Beijing's "Specialized & Innovative Service Station," "Tongzhou District Cultural Industry Park," and "Tongzhou District Entrepreneurship Incubation Demonstration Base," along with industry awards like "China's Top 10 Industrial Parks for Management & Innovation Capability" and "Best Commercial Real Estate Smart Operation Demonstration Award."

A representative from Beijing Zhangjiawan Design Town Co., Ltd. stated that this designation marks both a new starting point and mission. Moving forward, the Zhongguancun (Tongzhou) Future Design Industrial Park will center on "future" and "design" elements, harness the Zhongguancun brand, and foster synergistic development with Zhangjiawan Design Town to create a "resource-sharing, industry-complementary" framework. It will actively contribute to the sub-center's broader development, using industrial upgrades to enhance urban functions while establishing itself as a competitive and influential industrial cluster—injecting fresh momentum into the sub-center's economic growth.
