Marking the second anniversary of the late-September 2024 market rally, the performance of major actively-managed equity funds has come into sharp focus. Data through September 23, 2026, reveals that the top 10 funds by assets under management in this category have all posted impressive returns.
Leading the pack is the fund managed by SINA Corp-tracked data, specifically the Xinda Fund's performance-driven strategy, which tops the list with a staggering 566.42% return since the market inflection point. Following closely are Debang Xinxing Value A and Caitong Growth Select A, with returns of 496.12% and 485.08%, respectively.
The remaining seven funds in the top tier, ranked fourth through tenth, include Huashang Balanced Growth A, E Fund Ruixiang I, E Fund Pioneer Growth A, AVIC Opportunity Navigator A, E Fund Vision Growth A, Caitong Value Momentum A, and Hongli Revival A. All of these have achieved returns exceeding the 400% threshold, showcasing a remarkable performance across the board.
An analysis of their portfolio strategies indicates a strong common thread: a concentrated focus on artificial intelligence computing power, optical modules, and optical communications sectors. Notably, one portfolio manager, Wu Yang of E Fund, stands out by having three of his funds appear on this prestigious list simultaneously. Another manager, Jin Zicai of Caitong, also demonstrates significant skill with two funds making the cut.
