On December 4, Lu Weibing, Partner and President of Xiaomi Group, Head of the Smartphone Division, and General Manager of the Xiaomi Brand, released the 12th episode of his Q&A session with netizens on social media.
When asked whether Xiaomi executives have fitness targets due to their well-maintained physiques, Lu humorously responded, "Last time while waiting at the airport, I did 50 push-ups. And it’s not just me—several colleagues also managed over 50. Though some netizens pointed out my form wasn’t perfect, so I’ll keep practicing."
Regarding Xiaomi’s automotive expansion overseas, Lu emphasized that Europe is the most challenging market globally. "We aim to establish a foothold there before entering other regions. During my recent trip to Germany, I observed their mature automotive industry—there’s much to learn. Post-10 PM, I held discussions with local teams to align on future directions. Rest assured, progress won’t take long."
Lu also addressed Luo Fuli’s joining Xiaomi and the company’s AI strategy. "We’ve been intensively investing in AI over recent quarters. While details remain confidential, our advancements in AI models and applications have exceeded expectations." He added, "The deep integration of AI with the physical world represents the next era of smart tech. Xiaomi values talent and offers a robust platform for growth. We welcome more talents to join and grow with us."
