In the first two months of this year, Gansu Province's total import and export value with ASEAN countries exceeded 3.26 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 22%, according to recent data. This robust performance signals a strong start to the year for the region's international trade.
On March 13, a batch of Huaniu apples weighing over 40 tons, produced by Gansu Jianong Rensheng Fruit Industry Co., Ltd., passed inspection by Tianshui Customs under Lanzhou Customs and was prepared for shipment to Indonesia. During the January–February period, Gansu's trade with Indonesia reached 2.69 billion yuan, up 16.3% compared to the same period last year.
Benefiting from the policy advantages brought by the upgraded China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 protocol, Gansu's exports to ASEAN have evolved into a diversified pattern featuring both specialty agricultural products and industrial goods. Key agricultural exports such as Tianshui Huaniu apples, Dingxi potatoes, and Zhangye vegetable seeds have shown sustained growth. Meanwhile, new energy products including photovoltaic modules and lithium batteries have also demonstrated positive momentum. Traditional markets such as Malaysia, Vietnam, and Singapore continue to exhibit stable growth.
