On October 23, the Urumqi Municipal Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited. At the signing ceremony, Zuo Qiang, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited, expressed gratitude for the longstanding support Urumqi has provided for the development of the company. He stated that as a core subsidiary of China State Construction Group, the company is a leader and innovator in China's construction industry, boasting a full industrial chain advantage in housing construction, infrastructure, municipal engineering, intelligent construction, and urban renewal, along with strong investment and financing capabilities, advanced engineering technologies, and management experience. He hopes to deepen cooperation with Urumqi in urban renewal, water engineering, new energy and materials, and infrastructure construction, jointly promoting high-quality development in Urumqi.
Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Yaha Fu Paidula expressed gratitude on behalf of the Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government for the company’s ongoing concern and support for Urumqi’s economic and social development. He emphasized that Urumqi is the political, economic, and cultural center of Xinjiang, an important node city in the core area of the "Belt and Road" initiative, a significant support city for the national strategy of western openness and the establishment of a new development pattern, and a primary carrier of the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt's "one port, five centers." He expressed hope that this signing will serve as an opportunity to align with national strategies, fully utilize Urumqi's locational and policy advantages, as well as the comprehensive industrial chain strengths and technological innovation capabilities of China State Construction Engineering Corporation, to deepen cooperation across urban renewal, infrastructure construction, real estate development, and investment operations through government-enterprise collaboration, resource sharing, and mutual benefits, striving to build an innovative, livable, beautiful, resilient, civilized, and intelligent modern city.
