Guangdong and Inner Mongolia Schools Collaborate to Establish Semiconductor Laboratory

On April 17, Shenzhen University of Technology and Hohhot No. 2 High School signed an agreement for a semiconductor laboratory project. The partnership aims to create a forward-looking platform dedicated to semiconductor technology and the cultivation of top-tier talent.

The semiconductor laboratory initiative at Shenzhen University of Technology is designed to strengthen the connection between basic education and higher education. With the core objective of enabling every student to personally design and tape-out their own processor chip, the project will establish a comprehensive training system that spans from sparking initial interest to engaging in scientific research and practice. Using the laboratory as a foundation, Shenzhen University of Technology and Hohhot No. 2 High School will continue to deepen the integration of science and education while fostering collaborative development. Together, they will explore new pathways for cultivating high-quality innovative talent, helping more outstanding students grow into a new generation of individuals with a sense of national responsibility, scientific literacy, and innovative capabilities.

On the same day, Shenzhen University of Technology held an undergraduate admissions information session for the 2026 academic year at Hohhot No. 2 High School. The university's president, Fan Jianping, delivered a presentation titled "The Innovative Mission and Practice of a New Type of Research University," introducing parents and students to the institution's explorations in cutting-edge interdisciplinary fields. On April 18 and 19, Shenzhen University of Technology also conducted admissions sessions in Baotou and Ordos, providing students in Inner Mongolia with new opportunities in higher education and building a new bridge for educational exchange between Guangdong and Inner Mongolia.
