NCI Announces Resignation of Independent Director Ma Yaotian Due to Term Expiration

On December 3, New China Life Insurance Company Ltd. (NCI) announced that its board of directors received the resignation letter from independent director Ma Yaotian on the same day. Ma resigned as he had served as an independent director for six years, in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. His resignation covers his roles as independent director, member of the Board Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and member of the Risk Management and Consumer Rights Protection Committee.

Ma Yaotian will continue to perform his duties as independent director and in the board's specialized committees until the election of a new independent director at the company's shareholders' meeting and the regulatory approval of the new director's qualifications.
